We are a team of researchers from Monash University Malaysia dedicated to the development of ELiSE into a safe and effective neuromodulation device for elevating mental wellness and enhancing cognitive performance.
Meet the team
Dr. Ean Hin Ooi
Ean Hin is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. He obtained his PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and previously held research positions in the University of Birmingham, Wessex Institute of Technology and Oxford University. Ean Hin has more than 15 years experience in biomedical engineering and currently leads the Medical Engineering and Technology (MET) hub at Monash University Malaysia.
Ms. Pei Juin Chia
Pei Juin is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Mechatronic engineering at Monash University Malaysia. She is leading the development of the modulation unit and the headset. Despite being an undergraduate student, Pei Juin has almost seven years experience building autonomous systems demonstrated by her participation in various district and national competitions.
Ms. Qiao Yan Ng
Qiao Yan is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at Monash University Malaysia. She is leading the development of the ELiSE mobile app from conceptualisation to the design of the user experience platform. Qiao Yan is highly passionate about assistive technologies in improving human learning.
Dr. Anne Yee
Anne is an Associate Professor at Monash Universit Malaysia and an addiction psychiatrist at KPJ Puteri Johor and the Mind Faculty KL. She has more than 20 years experience in clinical psychiatry. She is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Addiction Medicine Association of Malaysia (AMAM), an active member for the Care Warriors Association, and a member of the Advisory Board for the Malaysian Drug Policy Reform Program (MDPR), an initiative of the Malaysia Aids Foundation (MAF).
